Title: The Incident
Logline: A little girl, who can see the supernatural, is rescued by her grandmother from a dangerous situation.
Character Breakdown:
SARAH: Female, 60s – 80s, of African descent. A doting grandmother to her only grandchild, Iona (6). Descended from a long line of witches from a powerful tribe in Ghana, her gifts make her and her family a target of supernatural beings who wish to gain her knowledge, which includes how to ward off and kill some supernatural beings. At the request of her daughter, she strengthens the wards of her home whenever Iona visits and keeps her within the confines of her yard .
NEOMA: Female, 30s – 60s, Any Ethnicity. A soucouyant who has slipped her skin but uses her power to materialize in human form. She is hungry for knowledge to protect herself, and thinks nothing of using young Iona as a way to get what she wants from Sarah. (Actor will be required to wear body shimmer oil on exposed skin including face.)
NOTE: Actors should and be comfortable working with children.
To ensure the health and safety of the cast and crew on set, it is preferred that applicants (over the age of 18) be fully vaccinated, or have received at least one dose of ANY COVID-19 vaccine.
If cast in this project, the talent shall be required to take a PCR COVID-19 test at the expense of the PRODUCER before shooting.
