Job Summary:

The Native Caribbean Foundation is seeking able bodied volunteers to assist backstage during the performance of their 6th Children’s Musical, which will run January 25th – 27th, and January 31st – February 3rd, at Naparima Bowl. No experience necessary. Training will be provided.

REPORTS TO: The Stage Manager

Key Duties:

The stagehand(s) will be required to:

• Assist with movement of set and props on/offstage during performance
• Assist with the general supervision of the cast in the backstage area
• Provide general assistance to the Stage Management Team during the performance of their duties.

NOTE: Volunteers will be provided with meals and refreshments. MUST wear ALL black. No prints, patterns, sleeveless, shorts, open toe shoes.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• The ideal candidate should be able bodied and able to lift at least 20lbs
• Theatre experience is NOT necessary, but may be an asset. (Appropriate training and guidance will be provided to volunteers)

Commitment: Short Term Engagement

• Training: Tuesday 24th January, 2023
• First Run: Wednesday 25th – Friday 27th January, 2023

Venue: Naparima Bowl, San Fernando

Additional Information: Volunteers will be rostered accordingly depending on their availability. Meals and refreshments will be provided on the days volunteers are required.
